Comprehensive Plan Update Public Meeting Schedule

The City of Maysville, the Mason County Fiscal Court, and the Mason County Joint Planning Commission have partnered with the Community Economic Development Initiative of Kentucky (“CEDIK”) based out of the University of Kentucky to update the community’s Comprehensive Plan. The next step is to hold public meetings to discuss the data gathered by the survey and formulate the Comprehensive Plan’s goals and objectives. The following is a list of the public meetings, as well as their dates/times, locations, and associated themes:

Theme discussions will include the following sub-themes, among others:

Community Facilities — public infrastructure, public health, broadband, facilities for seniors, veterans, youth, etc. Housing — supply and demand of local housing options

Economic Development — industrial, retail, high-paying jobs, riverfront development Transportation — roadways, public transportation, walking, biking, public safety Culture & History — historic preservation, recreation, fine arts, tourism

Agriculture & Rural Areas — land use and agriculture in rural areas of Mason County Land Use & the Environment — general land use and environmental concerns

You are invited to attend and participate. Free childcare will be provided by the Limestone Family YMCA for attendees’ children at the public meetings!
