In 2020, the Maysville Police Department brought back retired MPD Sergeant, Chris Neal to head the MPD Community Liaison Office.

The MPD Community Liaison Office continues to grow and strengthen partnerships with community service-based, civic, citizen, school, church, and LE organizations in the MPD service area

Community Liaison Office at Work:

  • Passed out free food to citizens in our area on multiple occasions
  • Passed out bags of essential items to those in need
  • Passed out free Covid-19 at-home test kits through BTDHD-several hundred test kits were handed out
  • Too Good for drugs program at MCHS with the Regional Prevention Center
  • Participated in reboot recovery for first responders
  • Tip 411- Crime Fighting System
  • Four Town Hall meetings- all successful events
  • Two movie in the park events. One at Rotary park and one at Seddon UMC-both were free to the public, included: game stations, hotdogs, chips, water, popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, etc.
  • Mentor Program
  • Citizen Mediation to help stop minor issues from becoming major community issues
  • Married a young couple at MPD Forest Avenue Station as well as conducted a funeral
